About Leonard's Kielbasi Market

For over a century, Leonard's Kielbasi Market has been crafting pure pork, cherry wood-smoked kielbasi in the heart of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Using Grandpa Dysleski's old-fashioned methods and original recipe brought from Poland in 1923, Leonard's continues to create authentic and delicious kielbasi that honors its heritage and satisfies taste buds with every bite.

Located at 64 Kado St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, Leonard's Kielbasi Market operates as a specialty food store serving Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Wilkes-Barre with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Pennsylvania may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (570) 822-4406. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is leonards1923.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 115 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded specialty food stores in Wilkes-Barre.

Wilkes-Barre is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Wilkes-Barre is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Leonard’s meat market is my new favorite place to buy my meat for my family. I love their Friday specials. The customer service is high quality and they have a great variety of meat. You can’t beat the price for the quality of meat you get! I have become a regular customer here and I couldn’t be happier.

Absolutely amazing meats, cheeses, and spices. Had the grand pleasure of meeting and speaking with Max, who was very knowledgeable on history and all of the things they offer here at their market. If you have a chance, be sure to try the teriyaki pineapple beef stix, the lady and I are hooked! We will be back πŸ‘‹ Thank you Max and Leonard

Best kielbasa around in my opinion. They grind their fat up so well you don't get any of those big fatty hard chunks like other places... they have fantastic Friday sales on meats and chicken. Wide variety of meats and kielbasa

Went there to buy chicken wings for the big game. I bought 30 lbs and found out how meaty they were. I precooked them prior to deep frying and the amount of fat or water that came off of them was almost unnoticeable compared to well known chicken wing companies. My pan would be loaded with grease and water and shrunken up wings. I’ll advise anyone to buy them here along with a great price. Plus I’ve yet brought any of all the other fresh meats and kielbasa they offer!

Stopped by today for the Grand (re) Opening. My Dad and I were wowed by the friendly staff and the great selection! Bought some kielbasa to bring home - and scoped out the awesome selection of other Polish treats. Thank you! We will be back!
